Day Seven - Indianapolis
This morning started off with some end of the week pranks. Apparently it’s tradition to hide the authority man’s bike on the last day. I’m told last year his bike was waiting on the roof in the morning.
This year his bike was hanging from a tree in front of the dorms. The night before, some of the girls’ sleeping bags went missing (but were found in time for sleeping).
We rode 15 easy miles to a community center just outside of Indy. Here we took group photos in our Cover jerseys and waited for the police escort. From here, four motorcycle cops escorted us through downtown Indy, finally stopping at a fitness center on the river. Jimmy Johns was delivered to the outside patio, and after eating we listened to the final speaches and said our goodbyes. I was sad to see it end, and sad to watch these people go.
When I got home to West Lafayette, my first destination was the hot tub. I soaked and stretched my legs for a long time, grabbed lunch, then napped for 4 or 5 hours.
