Day Five - IU

One my loyal readers suggested I re-iterate the donation website:

In the end this ride is about building affordable homes, and this year the economy has taken a toll on donations.

We have another website for the POC gang, and I tried to increase donations by offering to photoshop embarassing features onto our photos. In the end I wound up with a mustache, ear rings, and a cone bra. I won’t be posting that donation website today.

Today’s ride was relatively uneventful compared to the previous two, with the exception of big hills, road construction, and a long caravan of oncoming Ford Mustangs. There was a section where we dealt with all three at once, which made us all nervous.

We stopped in Bloomington for lunch, and met up with Alex from Purdue’s triathlon club. He was kind enough to take our picture in front of IU’s gates. Most of us were wearing our Purdue jerseys, and afterwards some us rode around campus and town for a bit. We got some odd looks and comments.

Tonight we’re sleeping in another church, and I found a discarded time machine in the closet. I got it to light up, but still no time travel… I’m told it’s a prop for Bible Camp.
